As I am going to install project server 2007. I thought it would be nice to collect the system requirements for the solution. Here are they
-
Operating System : Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Service pack 2 or later (32 Bin, X64)
-
Processor: Minimum Pentium III, 500 MHz or faster
-
512 MB RAM , 1 GB Recommended
-
200 MB Hard Drive space
-
SVGA (800 x 600) or higher
-
.Net Framework 2.0
-
MDAC 2.8 or higher
-
10 Mb/sec or higher connection for network
-
DVD/CD Drive
-
SQL Server 2000 with Sp3 or later or SQL Server 2005 Standard or enterprise(32Bit or 46Bit)
By the way I am installing the server on a brand new Virtual machine. I just installed Windows Server and IIS and right now SQL Server 2005 standard edition is underway for installation (95% done). My next step will be the WSS Version 3.
If you wanted to get full advantage of Project server then you will need to install all components of SQL Server.
Let’s see what happened next
Regards,
Jerry
The system requirements on Microsoft WebSite states 2.5GHz minimum. I wonder if it still works on a PIII.http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc197379(TechNet.10).aspx
